Traveling Worship Teams (TWT)

Taking Worship to the Homebound…

What do we do? We go into the homes of our homebound folks and have a worship time with them. Usually there are 4 to 6 people on a team. Team members are assigned to lead some a cappella hymns, a prayer time, read scripture, do a devotional, and lead the Lord’s Supper. If a team member would rather not lead anything, that’s fine. They can just go as an encouraging congregation member. We spend about 30 minutes in their home. It’s a blessing to them, but a greater blessing to us. Nursing homes have multiple times of worship each week that residents can attend. However, homebound folks never have a chance to worship with fellow believers. They only receive the DVD of our services (which is great, but there is no fellowship and encouragement there). Pray about being a part of one of our teams as we remember those who cannot worship with us at our campus.
