About Emily

I graduated from the University of Mobile with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I am currently a Kindergarten teacher in Talladega City and I love my job!! While in college, I was the Children’s Associate at Redemption Church in Mobile, AL.  I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, DIY projects, crafting, and exercising.

I made a profession of faith as an eight year old little girl at a VBS.  I do not recall much from the experience other than I knew that I needed Jesus in order to avoid Hell. As I grew into a young woman, pieces of the Gospel puzzle began to fit together as my understanding of Jesus deepened and my affections for Him grew.  The seeds that were planted during that VBS were vital to my salvation experience.
At Cropwell Baptist Church, we, as a Preschool Ministry, work hard to create a safe, fun, Gospel-centered environment for our children to thrive in and plant seeds into each little mind and heart for Jesus to be known.  Along with that, we want to equipped parents and families the best we can to disciple their children.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Duet. 6:4-9
A life verse that I continually preach to myself is Ephesians 4:1 “I therefore, a prisoner of the Gospel, urge you to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called.”  May we, as followers of Jesus, be diligent to proclaim the Gospel in every area of life.  For me, that is to proclaim Jesus to our preschool children, to the students in our schools, and to those who have never heard across the ocean.
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Rev 7:9
