Salvation and Call to Ministry
I did not grow up in the church context as a child. I do remember one of my uncles giving me a Bible for Christmas one year and teaching me John 3:16. As I became a teenager my Dad’s job brought my family to move to a new place and some folks my dad worked with invited my siblings and me to be a part of their children and youth small groups. After attending this small country church for sometime the Lord opened my eyes to sin and need for Jesus. The Lord saved me when I was around 13 years old. While growing as a new believer my family faced some personal tragedies with methamphetamines and we were dispersed.

During this time the Lord strengthened my faith through the Word and the body of Christ and I began to feel a call to ministry and others began to tell me that they perceived this call on my life. Thus Oak Grove Baptist Church in Glencoe, AL licensed me in the ministry and challenged me to remain faithful to the Word and seek out what God would lead me to do. I preached my first sermon here when I was 16 years old at a youth service. Through God’s provision I was able to attend the University of Mobile and complete my nursing degree. During my 4 years in Mobile, Al, I received mentorship through a minister-in-training opportunity at Shiloh Baptist Church, Saraland, Al and went on my first international mission trip with the university to Nova Friburgo, Brazil. While there I felt the Lord show me that part of His call on my life was to mobilize others for working among different people groups at home and around the world. I live day by day seeking the Lord’s will for my life and currently he has me serving alongside the church here at Cropwell.

Ministry Focus

My ministry centers around assisting the pastoral leadership team at Cropwell by planning, modeling, and leading Christ-centered worship for all generations. My focus is to augment the worship pastor’s ministry by providing ministry support in areas of worship preparation as it relates to equipment, printing music, and other sundry clerical tasks. I also have been tasked with equipping others for all parts of worship/media ministry and leading worship in multiple contexts as the opportunities arises.
