Pastor Andy was born in Anniston, Alabama in 1972. He gave his life to Jesus Christ when he was 6 years old. After high school, he ran from God’s calling on his life for several years. He surrendered to the call to full-time vocational ministry at the age of 21. He graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Music degree. He then went on to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas where he earned his Master of Music degree in 1998. His wife Robbie is from Jacksonville, Alabama. She received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Jacksonville State University in 1994. Andy and Robbie were married in June of 1995. They have one daughter (Hilary), one son (Grant), and one grandson (Bailey). Andy loves spending time with family, playing basketball, and exercising at a bootcamp class several times a week.
Andy has served as Minister of Music at Edgewood Baptist Church in Gadsden, Alabama from 1995 to 1996, at Bethesda Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas from 1996 to 1998, and at First Baptist Church of Wiggins, Mississippi from 1998 to 2003. He has served on staff at Cropwell since March 3, 2003.
The goal of his ministry at Cropwell is to plan, model, and lead Christ-centered worship, so that the congregation is drawn closer to God, personally and corporately; to create an environment where church members of all ages can develop and use their talents and gifts for the glory of God in worship and missions; and to equip and lead the congregation in reaching out in missions across the street and across the globe.
